Busybody Family, the political "earthquake" in Katsina is finally here! After days of intense back-room deals, the APC has officially released its consensus list, and it’s bad news for some incumbents. The biggest shocker? Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami has lost his return ticket for Katsina Central Federal Constituency!

The new face is Abba Dahiru Mangal!

The stakeholders and power brokers in Katsina have settled on Barrister Abba Dahiru Mangal, the son of billionaire business mogul Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, as the consensus candidate for the 2027 polls.

The decision followed a marathon two-day negotiation (Tuesday to Thursday) that sidelined the two-term incumbent, Hon. Danlami.

A "Dark Horse" Emerges: Interestingly, the younger Mangal, a legal practitioner and industrialist, had not even publicly declared interest in the race before his name was unveiled!

The "Clean Sweep" in Katsina!

It’s not just Danlami; the APC is shaking up the entire state! The party has reportedly "dropped" several sitting reps to make way for fresh blood, including:

Yusuf Muhammad Buhari (the former President's son) for Daura/Sandamu/Mai'adua.

Akilu Mamman Yandoma and others also secured key tickets via this same consensus method.

Internal Chaos!

Not everyone is happy. Reports indicate the consensus meetings turned chaotic in some zones, with allegations of an aspirant even pulling out a weapon during the heated deliberations!

Danlami’s Reaction!

In a show of sportsmanship, Hon. Danlami has reportedly accepted the outcome and urged his supporters to remain calm and law-abiding.

Defection Alert!

Watch out! This "imposition" has already sparked rumors of lawmakers planning to dump the APC for other parties like the ADC as the May 10 deadline for party registers approaches.

Is it fair for a billionaire’s son who "didn't even contest" to take the ticket from a sitting rep? 🤨

With Buhari’s son and Mangal’s son now on the ballot, is the APC becoming a "Family & Friends" party?
